The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists has been the home for applied epidemiologists, those working in state, tribal, local and territorial (STLT) health departments, since 1951. Our over 3,100 members have a commitment to focus on communities disproportionately impacted by public health threats of all types—acute, chronic and emerging— and to ensure equity and diversity in the public health workforce.
